Especially since most of the times we hear it are when Ed, Al, or someone is confronting the Portal of Truth, and the Guardian who resides there. Right away, we are treated to something that feels almost more at home at a carnival, which at first, seems an odd choice. My opinion of music may or may not be trustworthy, depending on your taste.ДЄll that said, letвЂ™s get into this, with easily the most recognizable piece from the entire OST, the main theme itself, The FullMetal Alchemist. Granted, take that with a grain of salt, because I also own the complete works of AC/DC, Poison, Queensryche, and Fleetwood Mac. To say something is even near their level, is about the highest compliment I can pay. I own the complete works of Bach, Mozart, Wagner, Beethoven, and many others. Some of it is even worthy of being held up with the works of the classical composers, which is not a thing I say lightly. Not just because itвЂ™s music, but because it is a masterpiece of composition. ThatвЂ™s incredible, and without a doubt, will long be remembered as a high point of SenjuвЂ™s career.Д«ecause he crafted something that is art.

Many of which play on the same themes, choruses, and motifs, to tell a story all their own, even separate from the visuals of the show. Take it away from the show, and you still have a large number of really excellent pieces of music. Mostly because the music stands on its own, as well. What Senju accomplished with this soundtrack was to marry the music to the story as near to perfect as is humanly possible, and it is stunning. ItвЂ™s integral to the show, and without it, the entire thing becomes less than it could have been. IвЂ™m sure IвЂ™ve gone on about this more than a few times, so you guys know all that IвЂ™m gonna say about this.ДЄ proper OST is one that tells the story, along with the script, animation, and acting. Not overshadow it, or disappear behind it, but help it tell the story, by adding that emotional layer. Enhance a scene to the point that the scene feels incomplete without it. Which is what a good OST is suppose to do. Take almost any track, and you really can remember at least one of the scenes it played in, more if your an FMA freak like me. I mean, thereвЂ™s good soundtracks, amazing soundtracks, and then thereвЂ™s the straight up unforgettable soundtracks. Almost any piece of music is one you can listen to, and instantly know the scenes it played against.

All of them are so good, and many are as iconic to the series, as the series is to anime. This really is an enormous soundtrack, with so many tracks, that it made picking out a small sampling really hard. Brotherhood, on the other hand, is an absolutely staggering soundtrack, not just for the ambition of it all, but for the way it works with the show itself, and with other pieces in the OST.ДЇirst things first. Three cdвЂ™s and over 80 tracks make up the soundtrack of Brotherhood, all composed by Akira Senju.ДЄs I mentioned on Monday, Senju is largely known for his work on shows like Red Garden, Tales of Vesperia: The First Strike, and Mobile Suit Victory Gundam, all shows I havenвЂ™t really seen enough of to tell you how the OST works. What I didnвЂ™t know, until I started getting into it, was just how massive it actually was. When I decided to do a FullMetal month, I knew from the start IвЂ™d be talking about this OST come this point.
